CPP Wind > Who We Are > Our Experts > Dr. Sarah Stenabaugh P.Eng.

Dr. Sarah Stenabaugh has been conducting wind tunnel tests since 2007 and has consulted in the field of wind engineering since 2015.  In that time, Sarah has gained extensive experience investigating the wind loads on a variety of structures including tall buildings, residential developments, hospitals, sports stadia, airports, and museums. Understanding and quantifying the wind loads on the building envelope has provided Sarah with many opportunities to consult with clients, supporting them throughout the design process and helping to find solutions as required.

Sarah’s other focus is supporting clients to design effective amenity spaces from a wind perspective, including providing support on paver uplift and furniture movement on outdoor terraces. She can also support project teams to mitigate door operability and stack effect issues, providing design loads for operable facades and the associated internally connected spaces.

Sarah holds a PhD in Wind Engineering from University of Western Ontario and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, Canada.  She has authored, co-authored or reviewed numerous journal papers and conference proceedings.
