Laura Knight is the Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Secretary for the US Corporation. She leads the strategic and operational management of CPP’s Design, Laboratory, Engineering, Project Management, and Weather & Climate Insights teams. In this role, she ensures that business operations are efficient and effective.
Laura served nine years in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves as an Acquisitions Officer Program Manager, where she led the successful development of defense acquisition programs. After joining CPP’s Finance and Accounting department in 2016, she restructured numerous processes and procedures, including revenue recognition, invoicing, accounting, reporting and profitability. Since that time, she has also led the Information Technology department to improve organizational processes and auditing internal systems. In 2019, Laura established the Project Management department, where she introduced the role of the Master Scheduler, which has created transparency around resource optimization, capacity planning, budget tracking, progress and risk management, profitability analysis and project team collaboration.
Laura holds a B.S.B.A. in Health Services Management from Robert Morris University and an M.B.A. in Project Management from Wright State University.
With more than 20 years of experience in financial and project management in both the government and private sectors, Laura leads CPP’s continued growth, collaboration, and evolution.
