What is the role
As a CAD Supervisor, you will oversee the preparation, quality, and coordination of CAD drawings and models across diverse engineering projects. You’ll ensure drafting standards are met, provide technical guidance to the team, and collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality outputs on time. We are looking for a motivated individual to assist in the growth and development of our design team.
What you will do
- Lead and supervise a small team of technical CAD drafters across multiple projects whilst managing own portfolio of design projects.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and project managers to ensure smooth design integration in the project workflow.
- Review drawings for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project scope requirements and quality standards.
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical support to the drafting team.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders domestically and internationally.
- Establish and maintain CAD standards, templates, and workflows.
- Support continuous improvement in drafting practices and adoption of new tools.
- Be available for urgent matters during off-hours, and across time zones.
- Adhere to OHS requirements and other Company policies.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
What we are looking for
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in 3D CAD modelling, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, and other relevant design CAD tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications, specifically Outlook and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of drafting standards and engineering practices.
- Experience with design practices to model and manage complex geometries within large multi-scoped projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in the engineering consulting industry preferred.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential.
