CPP Wind Canada: 5 Years and Growing Strong!

This past December, the CPP Wind Canada team came together to celebrate an exciting milestone; five years of innovation, collaboration, and success. Since launching the Canadian office in 2020 under the leadership of Dr. Jon Galsworthy, the team has grown from a bold idea into a thriving hub of wind engineering expertise that serves architects, engineers, developers and industry partners across Canada and beyond. Jon’s leadership helped establish a foundation built on deep technical expertise and a client-centered culture that energizes every project.

When the office first opened, Jon and the initial team of just three engineers took time to define what they wanted the CPP Canada office to stand for. Together, they established three pillars—simple in principle, but fundamental to the office’s success—that continue to guide the team today: doing good work, servicing clients, and being a good colleague. Those values shaped the office from day one — and they remain central to how the team collaborates, delivers, and grows.

Celebrating 5 Years in Canada

Over the past five years, our Canada office has become an essential part of CPP’s global footprint, contributing to complex wind engineering consulting across multiple service lines. During this time, the office has not only expanded in headcount—welcoming SMEs, rising engineering talent, project managers, and regional business development leaders—but has also grown in the scope and scale of work delivered.

A defining part of the Canada office’s success has been its people. Beyond technical achievements, the team has built a culture where professionals are supported, challenged, and empowered to grow — creating an environment where strong talent wants to stay and new talent wants to join. From mentorship and knowledge-sharing to collaboration across disciplines and offices, the Canada team continues to invest in building a workplace that develops the next generation of wind engineering leaders while maintaining the high standards and camaraderie that make CPP unique.

An exciting part of this journey has been the team’s growth and evolution. What began during COVID as a remote office of just four people has grown into a dynamic team of 25+ professionals. The Canada office has matured into a place where creativity, technical excellence, and partnership thrive. The move to a new, larger office space at 2727 Meadowpine Blvd, Mississauga reflects not only our expansion but our commitment to building a vibrant collaborative environment where ideas flourish and careers grow. This new location supports continued growth for years to come.

As we look ahead, there’s immense pride in what’s been accomplished and excitement for what’s next. The last five years have been defined by shared achievements — from solving challenging engineering problems to strengthening client relationships and cementing our reputation in the industry. We couldn’t be more proud of the team and grateful to our partners and clients who have supported us along the way. Here’s to the next five years of success, growth, and impact in Canada!
