The 2018 Australasian Laboratory Management Conference (ALMC) will be held November 12-14 in Mantra Bell City, Preston, Victoria in Australia. The event targets lab managers worldwide, along with other science industry professionals.
The event organizer, Science Industry Australia Ltd, is the peak national industry association in Australia for organizations producing, providing, or using science industry goods and/or services. The event incorporates workshops, plenary sessions, networking opportunities and an exhibition.
Highlighting the theme Evolution, not Revolution, ALMC 2018 will mark the first time the conference and exhibition has been held in Melbourne since 2015. In today’s business climate, organizations—including laboratories—succeed by evolving and selectively pursuing innovations based upon evolution, not revolution. Evolutionary steps can potentially move an organization in new directions, or position it better for adapting to conditions of change and innovation.
CPP’s Brad Cochran will attend the event, and speak on Tuesday, November 13. He will address the evolution from individually exhausted fume hoods to fully manifolded systems operating under VAV control. And, discuss how the manifolded systems increase safety, response, and the resilience of fume hood operations in the laboratory; while reducing overall energy consumption.”
