CPP Wind Announces Acquisition of Optiflow

CPP Wind Engineering Consultants (“CPP”), an internationally recognized leader in wind engineering, announces acquisition of Optiflow.

Optiflow, located in Marseille France, is a leading specialty computational fluid dynamics (CFD) firm consulting with designers, engineers, and urban planners. The team at Optiflow is well-versed in projects ranging from industrial and tall buildings to arenas and urban spaces. This acquisition will expand CPP’s existing CFD capabilities and presence in the European market and give the Optiflow engineering team access to valuable wind tunnel testing resources and the opportunity to better serve customers globally together with colleagues across CPP.

In the past 25 years, Optiflow has delivered projects for local authorities, investors and operators across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and China. Its strong knowledge of physical phenomena and the mathematical methods used to reproduce them allow the team to ensure environmental optimization in both large and small spaces drawing on robust links to academia as needed.

“We are excited to announce this acquisition and to expand our capabilities in CFD modeling services for our clients,” said Oliver Napp, CPP CEO. “Optiflow is more than just a growth opportunity for us, it’s a strategic investment to bring some of the best CFD engineers in the world to CPP’s global organization.”

The Company will now be able to deliver even more state-of-the-art engineering services worldwide with expanded services for designing safe and sustainable structures. CPP’s client-centric consultancy includes structural design guidance to optimize material requirements in all building structures. Its environmental services can improve the amenity of outdoor spaces for their intended use, reduce the energy consumption of ventilation systems in building and industrial developments and maximize the potential for renewable energy generation.
