We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our laboratory and engineering design operations. This role is responsible for ensuring projects and services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while driving operational performance, team development, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams, improving operational processes, and delivering business results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage laboratory and engineering design teams to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes, on time and within budget.
- Drive operational excellence through effective planning, resource allocation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, accreditation, and Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) requirements.
- Develop and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture.
- Oversee project priorities, operational risks, and business performance to achieve organisational objectives.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure client requirements and business expectations are met.
- Support operational continuity across multiple locations and time zones, responding effectively to changing business needs.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Laboratory Manager, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of laboratory operations, engineering design processes, quality systems, and safety compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive performance improvements.
- Experience managing budgets, resources, project schedules, and operational KPIs.
- Excellent problem-solving, organisation, and decision-making skills.
- Previous experience working within a multinational or globally connected environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with international clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience working across different cultures and time zones will be highly regarded.
