CPP’s staff comprises leading Wind Engineering experts, and our customers include many of the world’s top architects and engineers. We operate two boundary-layer wind tunnels at our laboratory located in Windsor, Colorado along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, one wind tunnel in Sydney, Australia, and an additional wind tunnel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
We seek an Air Quality Engineer for our team based out of our Windsor, Colorado, office. The successful candidate should have a wind engineering and/or fluid dynamics background, preferably in dispersion modeling or regulatory air pollution work.
Primary Duties:
- Coordinates with internal project management and interacts with clients (architects and mechanical engineers) to gather project information
- Internal collaboration with wind tunnel model design and model shop to ensure accuracy of project drawings and building models
- Organizes test plan for wind tunnel data collection, working with wind tunnel technicians to oversee the quality of data collection
- Analyzes data, compiles report deliverables
- Presents results and recommendations to the client and consults with the customer to determine suitable design solutions
- Advance consulting skills through regular participation in client interactions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Civil Engineering or a related field of study is required
- Master’s or PhD is encouraged but not required, or 1-3 years engineering experience in related field or equivalent
- If no wind engineering background, first 6-months to 1-year working as wind tunnel technician, which may include evening shift (2 PM – Midnight)
- Proficient technical and professional communication skills. Regular external client communication and interactions.
- Good time management and problem-solving skills for established tasks
- Must be able to work both independently as well as part of a team (opportunity to work approximately 30% of work-from-home time once trained and working independently)

Pay Range: $55,000 – $75,000 (USD) per year
